Merry Mariner's Planning Meeting on February 7th, 2006

We are finally back to the Sportsman's Club. Here Harry and El Crossland along with Dee & John Fischer prepare wrap the utensils in napkins in preparation for the evening feast.

Don and Judy Eggert help El to prepare to receive the food.

The trip signup table was busy. Here Bill & Barb Barbre and Lutz Jesse make certain their names are included.
The tables who had their numbers called early are enjoying the feast
Once again we had an excellent choice of anything you can imagine. We really do have wonderful cooks in our club.
Some tables were well into their meal, while other tables waited patiently for their table to be called.

Ali Short and June Ost seem to be deep in conversation.

Commodore Bill Shallbetter called the meeting to order.

Bill called our newest US Citizen, Barry Mullins, to the front to lead us in the Pledge of Allegiance.

Bill then presented a gift of thanks to Rusty Ost, our Commodore for 2005.

After a short business meeting, Joan Church, our new Co-Safety / Training Chairperson, gave a presentation on the recommended contents of a boat first aid kit. Nice job Joan.

Our board listens as Joan gives here presentation.

Chuck Marthaler announces the amounts of the prizes for the evening.

Michael Connery is the first lucky winner.

Joan Church and Bobby Vogelei are the next two happy winners.

Rusty Ost is the last, and it seems happiest, winner of the evening.

Our trophies from the 2005 Cardboard Boat Regatta were proudly on display.

Many thanks to everyone who helped make this evening a fun event: Harry & El Crossland, Judy & Don Eggert, Barry & Judy Mullins, Susan Shallbetter, Wes Sims for taking pictures, and everyone who brought in the wonderful food we all enjoyed.
